2019 Tournament of Roses: TV or Stream, Where to Drive and Stand

Simone Graham – Editor: If you have not been to the Rose parade before, this is the year to go. Why? Rose Parade President, Gerald Freeny, interviewed this morning in front of Pasadena’s Wrigley Mansion by two of KTLA’s Sunday morning team, Lynette Romero and Dayna Devon, explained, “Many of the floats are going to have live music and the parade’s Grand Marshall, Chaka Khan, will perform at the beginning of the parade!”

Wrigley Mansion, the Orange Grove Boulevard estate, serves as the official headquarters of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, its staff and the 935 volunteer members who work year-round to organize the annual Rose Parade. Free mansion tours take place in February. Mr. Freeny, the event’s first African-American president, is a graduate of Pasadena schools and Cal State LA and a life-long volunteer for the Rose Parade. His family, he said in the morning interview, continues the tradition through his daughter who also volunteers.
