Get Ready For Easter Events/Apple Valley, Victorville, Hesperia, Calico, SVLCC

Simone Graham – Editor: There are three local city events for you and your family to choose from this weekend. Also, Spring Valley Lake Country Club invites the public to make reservations for its annual Easter brunch and Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Make your reservations for a time close to the 12:00 p.m. hunt and remember to bring baskets for the kids to stash their finds from the putting green.

Apple Valley Bunny Run and Easter Egg Hunt

James Woody Park & Community Center, 13467 Navajo Rd, Apple Valley: Kick off the spring season in the Town of Apple Valley this Saturday, April 20 by running (or hopping!) in our annual Bunny Run! Separate awards for men, women and children in different age divisions.

Pre-register by April 18th for just $20, or until the event reaches capacity. Registration after April 18th is $25, and the 5k Walk is free! All participants must sign a liability waiver, available online, at the race, or at Town Hall. Sign up at AVRecreation.org or in person at Town Hall.

Check-in for the 5K/10K Bunny Run begins at 7 a.m. for the race that takes off from field 8 at 8 a.m.

Then hop on over to James Woody Park Saturday for the Sharon Frazier Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Town of Apple Valley 5K/10K Bunny Run. The Apple Valley Optimist Club #15017 has helped fill and distribute thousands of eggs annually for more than 50 years for the free Easter egg hunt that takes place on field 1 at 9:30 a.m. sharp. The hunt is open to children ages 10 and younger. There is a separate area for children with special needs.

Held annually at Hook Park. Spring Festival & Egg Hunt is a fun-filled day for all ages. We invite you to come join us and experience this family event which includes: egg hunts, inflatables, seller’s market, food, carnival games, prizes and a visit from Mr. Bunny.

Tickets
Egg Hunts are separated by ages. For two years old and under, a Bunny Trail is available. Tickets are just $5 for the Egg Hunts and Bunny Trail. Get your tickets in advance starting March 18, or buy them on the day of the event. Spaces are limited.

Easter Celebration Calico Ghost Town

The Easter Bunny will be hopping through Calico Ghost Town for the annual Easter Celebration April 20. The Celebration will begin with shops and restaurants opening at 9 a.m. There will be live music from Twinkle Time, a kid-friendly pop music group. The Easter Bunny will be available to take photos with any visitors; and there will be plenty of games and contests for the whole family to enjoy.

Egg hunts start at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for several age groups, 12 yrs. and younger. Each hunt will consist of 2,000 small eggs filled with prizes PLUS 20 or more speciality eggs for larger prizes at the Prize Center (aka Town Hall).

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for children (4-11 years), 3 yrs. and under are FREE.
