City of Victorville To Host Free Stop The Bleed Class For Community

Victorville, Calif. – Did you know that a person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes? With training, you can provide immediate life-saving help to slow blood loss before emergency responders arrive on scene. The City of Victorville is offering a Stop the Bleed class free of charge for the community. This hands-on class will be held May 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Conference Room D at Victorville City Hall, 14343 Civic Dr.
The Stop the Bleed class is limited to 25 people, and registration is required. Participants must be 18 years or older; or children 12 to 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
