It’s Here! L. A. County Fair Labor Day Weekend

Simone Graham – Editor: For me the reward for toughing through and getting to the end of summer is the L. A. County Fair. It is hot up here in the high desert, not Palm Springs hot, but hot enough to be glad the summer heat is tapering off toward fall season. That means it is time to open your fair jar and take out all those quarters and dimes you have saved up for your favorite, guilty-pleasure fair food! As for me? At the 2018 Wrightwood Car Show – Wow!

Simone Graham – Editor: The three hundred-plus cars were fabulous, the live music very entertaining, and the general set up and organization to display cars and vendor stalls fairly easy to navigate.  The men particularly like seeing restored Rancheros and El Caminos; my husband just sold his El Camino year before last and my cousin still has his Ranchero from 1971. Our first time at this event, we were surprised at how many entrants
